Student Ministry Administrative Assistant

Erika Werdin

Erika was born and raised in Fond du Lac. She has called Community Church her church home for over 10 years. She began working as the student ministry assistant in July 2017. She has really enjoyed getting involved with the youth of our church, from helping plan trips, fundraisers, activities, and learning all the neat behind the scenes work. Erika, is also involved at Community through worship ministry. She has had a passion for music all her life. Erika is a devoted wife to Justin and mother to their two young children, Honor and Wells. She spends her days at home caring for her children and their family dog, Reuben. You will most likely find her cooking in her kitchen, singing and practicing her new past time, guitar, or staying active outdoors with her family!

She has attended Community Church for over 10 years, and is currently serving as a teacher in the Gospel Project for adults and on the Women’s Ministry Leadership team.  She loves teaching and learning about spiritual formation and working in step with the Spirit to bring growth and maturity to believers.

Web Ministry Coordinator

Lara Henry

Lara and her family moved from Alaska to the Fond du Lac area in fall of 2017 as her husband got accepted into the nursing program at Marian University. They immediately found a church family at Community Church. Lara and her husband Wes have been married for 9 years, have lived in 3 different states, Oregon, Alaska and now Wisconsin. Their 2 precocious children, ages 3 and 4, were born in Alaska. They all love to go on adventures and are always up for something new. Their ultimate adventure awaits as they are looking ahead to moving overseas and serve the Lord doing mission work in God’s timing.

Althea was born in Fond du Lac, and moved (with her family, of course!) to Oakfield at the age of 4. She is a graduate of Oakfield High School. She graduated in 2004 from MPTC with a degree in Applied Science-Accounting. She has 3 married daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 5 grand-dogs. She has been attending Community Church for about 15 years, and has volunteered in several areas- Children’s Ministry, MOPS, Greeter, and Financial Secretary. Althea enjoys her time with her children and grandchildren, and if that can be done outdoors, all the better. Her hobbies include geocaching, hiking, reading, sewing, and board games.

Tim is a lifetime resident of North Fond du Lac. He joined our staff in November of 2015. He spent 16 years working in die cast at Mercury, four years as a facility manager at Northwoods in Dodge County, and worked as a maintenance technician at the Lutheran Home of Oshkosh before he came to Community. When he isn’t here you can find him restoring old cars with his rescue dog, Wheezy, keeping him company, or on the back of an ATV or snowmobile.

Custodian

Dan Farina

Born and raised in Madison, WI, my family moved to Fond du Lac in 1978. After graduation from High School in 1983, I went to the UW of Eau Claire for school. Then I got my Doctorate in Chesterfield, Missouri at Logan College near St. Louis. After graduation, I returned to Fond du Lac and began attending Community Church in 1991. During this time I did a number of odd jobs and one of those was working for Service Master cleaning Schreiner’s Restaurant. Currently, I work as a produce clerk for Festival Foods and provide Janitorial services here at Community Church. I have two gorgeous daughters, Kenzie and Callen, who live and work in St. Paul, Minnesota. Presently, I am pursuing an advance degree in the proper cleanup, sanitation, and removal of refuse.
