 Community Church will be showing the movie, Sound of Freedom (rated PG-13) on August 16 at 6 p.m. 

Cost is $11- tickets will be available at the door as well.

Sound of Freedom, based on the incredible true story of Tim Ballard (founder of Operation Underground Railroad) shines a light on even the darkest of places. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death. After the movie the Lieutenant from the County Sheriff's Dept. (who oversees anti-trafficking division) will share briefly take questions. Also, Nancy Irizarry-Beachy will be with us to share and take questions. Nancy is the co-chair the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Consortium.  ASTOP will also be available after the presentation.

FAQs

Q. Should I bring my children?

A. The movie is rated PG-13 for sexual references, violence, sex trafficking, language and smoking. We leave this up to the parent’s discretion, but we do not recommend this movie for children.

Q. Is the movie free?

A. No. The movie will be provided at a discounted rate in advance: $8 per ticket, purchase here. Cost is $11 per ticket after Aug. 14 or at the door. You may pay with cash or card at the door.

Q. Could I come after the movie for the presentation from the County Sheriff Officer and Nancy Irizarry-Beachy without cost?

A. Yes, they will present immediately after the film (at 8:15 p.m.). There is no cost for these presentations.

Q. Will there be concessions for sale?

A. No. This is not a film for entertainment, but for raising awareness of a very serious issue. You may bring your own bottled water (with a cap or lid) into the auditorium.
