Welcome to our MOPS ministry page.
We are so glad you stopped by. Does life seem a bit chaotic, if not completely overwhelming? Perhaps you feel like you’re really accomplishing very little in this life – simply washing the same size 2 clothing over and over. Please know that you’re not alone, and there is a wonderful place for you to belong.
MOPS stands for Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers and meets at Community Church on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 9am-11am in the Multi-Purpose room. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom – urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms – moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. Our local MOPS group, here at Community Church, is one of just thousands of MOPS groups, found both nationally and internationally.
So, what makes MOPS worth getting out of your pajamas, dressing and feeding the children and being out the door before lunch? MOPS is about …
- Celebrating motherhood
- Meeting needs
- Making Connections
Experiencing God’s love…through relationships and resources.
And we get to do this in ways that only moms of other children can truly understand and appreciate. We celebrate potty training the 3-year old we were certain was going off to kindergarten in Pull-ups. We celebrate the night you finally get the baby to sleep through…and recognize the need to run to the room to check on everything when there’s no crying before 6 a.m. We celebrate God’s gift of children in our lives – even on the days when we’re asking about the Return Policy!
Just as importantly, we attempt to meet the needs all moms have as women. We touch on deep issues like depression and anxiety. We delve into relationships with husbands, friends and other family members. We discuss daily needs like easy meal preparation and keeping closets organized. We have fun days, only for mom days – spa retreats and chocolate fondue days. We have fun door prizes because we recognize it may have been a while since someone else thought of YOU. And through it all, we invite Christ into our lives, recognizing that He wants to dwell with each of us, through all the moments – not just the good and easy ones, but the mundane ones and most importantly the downright difficult ones.
Mothering is one of the most difficult jobs any woman will ever undertake. It is 24/7, on-call, no vacations, no coffee breaks. It’s tough beyond words. It is also the greatest calling God can ask of a woman. To mother a child that has been gifted by God is just so amazing. Why do it alone? Enjoy it! Love it! Share it! Please consider MOPS today.
MOPS…because Mothering matters.

Community Church MOPS 2019-2020
Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood.
We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom.
This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.
