Welcome to Community Youth!

Our aim is to help more students become wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ. Are you searching for something authentic, something real? Too often what is offered is anything but. Through Community Youth, we strive to be a place that helps you search for answers to tough questions. At Community Youth, you’ll find people who are excited about getting to know you. We work hard at building an atmosphere that is safe for everyone. You don’t need to wear a mask here. We’re also serious about having fun; God never intended life to be boring. Most importantly, we just want to be real. We believe in a real God who really loves you, and it’s our desire to help you meet Him and grow in a personal relationship with Him. Whether you’ve never stepped inside a church before or have been going most of your life, we want to invite you to check out Student Ministry at Community Church. If you’re interested in a place that is safe, fun, and real, give us a try. We’d love to meet you.

We meet almost every Wednesday night right here at church from 6:30 to 8 P.M.  During Community Youth, you can play fun games, learn what the Bible says about our lives, and have small group time to connect with great friends and caring adult leaders.

Throughout the year, join us for fun events like Snowblast, service opportunities, life-changing summer mission and adventure trips.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or if you want to find out more, please contact Mark at OR join us this week. We would love to get to know you!

Community Church is extending an invitation to any graduating senior and/or any existing college student to apply for the Benjamin Miller Scholarship. Buzz and Alyson Miller, along with their families, have decided to initially fund this scholarship in honor of their son, Benjamin Miller, who passed away in 2012 after only six weeks of precious life. Though his life was short, Benjamin was incredibly precious and valued, and God has used the Miller family circumstances to provide opportunities to share about the hope found in Jesus. This $500 scholarship will be awarded every spring to one individual who submits a one-page paper addressing any issue related to the value of life (from conception through the end of life).

Please contact Tiffani Robinson, Student Ministry Administrative Assistant, with any questions. Please email submissions to Tiffani  by April 1, 2020. This year’s scholarship recipient will be announced by May 17. The cash benefit will be awarded upon completion of one semester’s classes, signified by submitting a copy of the transcript.

Timeline:

  • Deadline for submissions: April 1
  • Committee to meet: April 29-May 10, with final decision announced by May 17
  • Scholarship money awarded by January 15, 2021, upon transcript submission

Guidelines for Paper:

  • Address any issue related to the pro-life movement (from conception through the end of life) and discuss your values and beliefs, as well as what helped shape them.
  • Answer the question: How have your life and values been affected by issues of life and death? In particular, what has helped you form your belief regarding the sanctity of life and how has that belief affected what you plan to do in your life? Where possible, describe any experiences which have intensified your values and beliefs.
  • Please keep your paper to no more than one page, single-spaced, number 12 font.
  • There will only be one scholarship awarded per year and an individual can only be awarded the Benjamin Miller Scholarship one time.
