Going Deeper

  1. If you could ask Jesus to do anything you wanted, what would it be? What would that accomplish? How would it glorify God or advance His Kingdom?
  2. What do you think is your greatest need? Why that? What does God say you need? (Read Ezekiel 36:25-27)
  3. Have you ever been frustrated with God? Why? What did you think He should be doing differently?
  4. Did you ever feel like God was holding out on you? Read Romans 8:32. How does this verse give us perspective when we want more than what God has given us?
  5. Do you see yourself as “desperately needy” or “pretty well set”? Read Mark 10:49-50. Do you ever find yourself running to Jesus the same way Bartimaeus does? Why do you think that is?
  6. If a bunch of needy, unrespectable, even obnoxious people started showing up at our church, how would you respond? How would you feel about it? How do you think Jesus would feel about it?
  7. What do you think you, or we as a church, can be doing to bring the Good News of Jesus to those who need to hear it most?
